Horizon was a twelve-year creative venture that brought together movement, hospitality, retail, events and community into one evolving brand ecosystem.
At its peak, the Horizon brand included two yoga studios, Horizon Collections retail stores, Cottesloe Vitality Bar, retreats, workshops, community events and large-scale creative activations across Western Australia.
As Founder and Creative Director, I led the vision, brand development, venue design, customer experience, community engagement and strategic growth of the business, guiding its expansion to multiple locations through stakeholder engagement, venue development, event production across all Horizon ventures.

FLAGSHIP STUDIO, 2A RAILWAY ST. COTTESLOE

Conceived and led the brand, venue design, retail, events and customer experience strategy for Horizon Yoga's flagship studio. When the opportunity arose to secure a 347sqm tenancy at 2A Railway Street, Cottesloe, I envisioned a destination that would bring together movement, retail, hospitality and community under one roof.

FOUNDING STUDIO | SWANBOURNE Founder & Creative Director | 2011–2023
Horizon Yoga's founding studio became home to a vibrant and loyal community for more than a decade.
What began as a single oceanfront studio evolved into a gathering place for multiple generations of families, friends and practitioners who returned year after year to move, connect and watch the sun set over the water.
With sweeping ocean views and a uniquely West Australian atmosphere, the studio became known not only for its classes but for the sense of belonging it created.
Over ten years, I developed the venue experience, programming and community culture that laid the foundation for Horizon's future growth, eventually expanding into the flagship Cottesloe studio and broader Horizon ecosystem.
Today, the studio continues under new ownership, a testament to the strength of the community and culture established during its first decade.
HORIZON COLLECTIONS
Founder & Creative Director | 2020–2023
Horizon Collections emerged from the vision to create more than a yoga studio. I wanted to develop an environment where people could gather, explore, discover and connect through beautiful design, thoughtful products and a strong sense of place.
When the lease became available at 2A Railway Street, Cottesloe, I recognised the potential of a remarkable 374sqm site that had previously housed a much smaller retail concept. The property featured a large street-facing courtyard, hospitality opportunities, multiple retail zones and an expansive interior that would eventually become the flagship Horizon Yoga studio.
As Creative Director, I developed the concept and customer journey for the entire space.
The front courtyard evolved into a vibrant retail garden showcasing Australian designers, homewares, plants and lifestyle products. A small café became the Vitality Bar, creating a welcoming social hub for the community. A dedicated retail corridor connected visitors through the space, leading them towards the yoga studio, meditation room and wellness facilities beyond.
Every element was designed to feel interconnected — a place where movement, design, hospitality, wellbeing and community could naturally coexist.
Horizon Collections transformed a traditional retail offering into an immersive lifestyle destination where design, hospitality, wellbeing and community could naturally coexist.
VITALITY BAR COTTESLOE
Founder & Creative Director | 2020–2023
Vitality Bar was created as an extension of the Horizon experience — a welcoming hospitality space designed to foster connection, wellbeing and community.
Located within the flagship Horizon Space Party venue at 2A Railway Street, Cottesloe, the concept emerged from a desire to create more than a yoga studio. I wanted to develop an environment where people could gather before and after classes, meet friends, work remotely, enjoy nourishing food and drinks, and feel part of a vibrant local community.
As Founder and Creative Director, I conceived the concept and oversaw the customer experience, spatial design, branding and integration of the bar within the broader Horizon ecosystem.
The space became a natural meeting point between wellness, hospitality and community, complementing Horizon Yoga, Horizon Collections and the venue's broader program of events, workshops and activations.
Vitality Bar reflected a core belief that meaningful community is built not only through structured experiences, but also through the simple moments of connection that happen around a shared table, a morning coffee or a conversation between friends.
Together, Horizon Yoga, Horizon Collections and Vitality Bar transformed the Cottesloe venue into a multi-layered lifestyle destination where movement, creativity, hospitality and community could naturally coexist.
